Glossary

Adonai When capitalized, it is a reference to יהוה—the sacred name of God.  It is usually represented in English bibles as the Lord (capitalized).
Messianic One who is like Messiah. Specifically a descriptor of followers of Yeshua the Messiah. Derived from the Hebrew, mashiach, meaning "anointed one." The Greek equivalent being christianos, translated into English as "Christian."  The term "Messianic" is commonly used within a broader Messianic Jewish context.  "Messianic," though being technically equivalent to "Christian", is generally reserved for both Jewish followers of Yeshua and the Gentile followers of Yeshua who sojourn with them.
Yeshua Salvation. As seen, for instance, in the text of Matthew 1:21, "and you will call his name Yeshua, for he will save his people from their sins."  The word found in the Greek of Matthew 1:21 (and throughout the writings of the apostles) is Iesous, which is the Greek translation of Yeshua, as found in Hebrew Scripture passages in Ezra, Nehemiah, and the Chronicles.  The Greek Iesous was eventually translated into Latin as Iesu (Jesu), and finally into English as "Jesus."   The English "Jesus" is therefore a thrice-removed translation of the original Hebrew, Yeshua.
